Exhibition Project | with Adelheid | Field of Days

In this exhibition project, toghether with Adéla Vávrová, known as Adelheid, we would like to present her new art series FIELD OF DAYS.

Building on her previous exploration of figurative painting and imaginary landscapes, Adelheid has developed a distinctive creative process. Her work unfolds as an upward spiral where images interact with lived experiences in a continuous dialogue. This approach allows her to respond intuitively to emerging stimuli and reveal valuable insights into the events of her inner life through her art.

The central motif of the art series FIELD OF DAYS is based on two key motifs: the ROOSTERand the SUNFLOWER. Both serve as significant narrators of this visual story.

The ROOSTER symbolizes the masculine principle of courage, protection, generosity and new beginnings. This archetypal figure, often associated with Greek gods and ancient Slavic traditions, embodies vitality and renewal. His vibrant costume and colors evoke the radiant energy of the sun.

The SUNFLOWER, with its dynamic relationship to sunlight, represents a natural connection to growth and transformation. Each petal is the wisdom of life. As the sunflower seeks strength and protection in the sun, it eventually reaches full bloom, at which point it settles into a position it no longer changes. It becomes a symbol of fulfilment.

Like a field of sunflowers-each unique, yet part of a cohesive whole-this exhibition invites viewers to experience a series of individual visual "chapters" that together form a unified artistic narrative.

FIELD OF DAYS serves as a reflection of the artist's past experiences and her reactions to them, and offers an intimate view of her evolving creative journey.

BIO:

Adelheid's artistic journey is shaped by her studies in clothing design and art therapy.

Creative journey is lined with gradual exploration and study of various artistic directions, techniques, as well as ordinary and extraordinary experiences and ideas. Her stories are increasingly shaped by her memories of the English countryside where she spent part of her childhood and keeps visiting. Dreams and symbols have also always been an important element of her creative process, leading her to an exploration of impermanence, an attempt to embrace it, and a search for inner balance.

In her early days, the painter and sculptor Nadia Verner played a crucial role in shaping her work.

She is also influenced by her favorite visual culture theorist John Berger, whose perspectives help to shape her artistic philosophy. In addition, the bold expressions of painter and sculptor Georg Baselitz resonate in the practice of Adéla Vránová, reflecting her preference for deep and evocative artistic narratives.
